BA Liberal Arts Music, University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Three years singing with the Heritage Chorale. Minor in English Literature, including every Shakespeare and Mythology class offered.
Experience
Over two years tutoring adults and children with WyzAnt. I enjoy seeing a student's excitement when something I've said suddenly makes sense, or they get into a book that surprises them because they like it. I also like to share my expertise. I took a 6-week seminar from novelist John Tigges on Novel Writing at Clarke College in Dubuque, IA. Also, I've served as a panelist at conventions such as DragonCon in Atlanta, GenCon in Milwaukee and Indianapolis, and the World Fantasy Convention held in St. Louis, Missouri. One of my stories helped the anthology UNDER COVER OF DARKNESS win the 2007 Canadian Prix Aurora Award for Short Fiction (equal to USA's Hugo Award). I've been published by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America's BULLETIN. I'm currently editing and writing character descriptions for Bruce A. Heard's new role-playing game "Calidar: In Stranger Skies".
